A website is, of course, a company’s calling card. It’s not just a source of information, but also a platform for showcasing its culture and values. But what happens when a company evolves? We told you in last week’s blog post how getpress has been charging full speed ahead into its next stage of evolution for a while now. Making that transformation visible—quite literally—was the logical next step.
Our new website follows a clear strategic direction. First and foremost, we want to reach growth companies looking for high-quality, credible PR partners. From article machine to strategic partner—because that’s what we already are, but our old website didn’t quite reflect it. At the same time, we want to keep that transparent, straight-shooting startup vibe. We’re aiming to be seen as a trailblazer in the industry. Always one step ahead, visually too.
Our core offering remains media relations. Rather than being a one-size-fits-all agency, we specialize in tailored PR. The service we’ve built is, if you’ll allow us to say so, the most powerful article-generating machine on the German market. Right now, there’s simply no one else generating high-quality media coverage at this frequency.
But media coverage isn’t everything—we want to support our clients holistically. As our clients grow, so do their needs, requiring strategically selected measures that go far beyond traditional PR. That’s why we now offer additional services, including Speaker Opportunities, CEO Positioning, Award Applications, and Strategic Sparring. We’re not taking over Instagram accounts just yet, though. (Never say never.)
At getpress, transparency and honesty have always been at the heart of what we do. We don’t sell unnecessary services—only what our clients actually need. No bells and whistles, just clear results.
Our long-term vision is to make the entire PR industry more transparent, measurable, and results-driven. By 2030, we want to become the #1 PR solution for the best scale-ups and innovators in the DACH region, and by 2035, the #1 in all of Europe.
Why are we sharing this so openly? Because we’re confident we can make it happen! And maybe also to put a little extra pressure on ourselves, hehe.
Developing our new website was an intensive process, led by a small task force within the Communications Department. Close collaboration between Comms, our CEO Max, and external partners was particularly crucial. Finding the right external partners—all of whom are fantastic—was challenging, as this was completely new territory for us. Chemistry meetings and reviewing previous projects ultimately helped us find the perfect matches. And, of course, none of this works without organization and project management. (All hail, Fiona and Silvana!)
To keep the decision-making process as straightforward as possible, we involved various departments, each with their own interests and requirements. The Recruiting team wants to use the website to attract potential employees, while Marketing is primarily focused on high performance. Employer Branding wanted a playful, stylish look, while Sales needed clear information for potential customers.
In the end, the website was the result of carefully weighing and balancing these different interests. We involved the team at various stages and ran multiple rounds of feedback to make sure everyone’s needs were taken into account.
No change without fuck-ups. That much is clear. Time management was a constant challenge, as the website work had to happen alongside our regular day-to-day responsibilities. Communication, especially with the designers, also turned out to be complex. Different interpretations of our brand guidelines led to several rounds of revisions, while estimating the workload proved difficult because there were constantly new fires to put out.
A new page here (plus the corresponding copy), an SEO title tag there—and, oh yeah, image alt texts wouldn’t hurt either. Do we have photos of everyone on the team? It’s a lot.
And now we’re here. Our new brand identity represents our values and who we are in a whole new way. We’ve translated the quality of our services into our website—moving away from an impersonal DIY look toward a modern, creative, and transparent presence.
We’re getpress, and that means straight talk. No redundant information, just direct communication. We’re not afraid to be unconventional. We dare to be disruptive. And above all, we value transparency—for example, through our pricing and by showcasing our PR results on a dedicated page.
The goals behind our new brand identity and website are long-term. We want to create a vibrant space for exchange and collaboration within the PR industry. Our platform will offer tools for PR professionals through whitepapers and webinars, an informative blog (hey, you!), and connections with journalists. We want to deliver the best customer experience in the industry and understand our target audience even better. We want to give more insight into how we work and collaborate—and show just how successful our strategic approach can be.
And we’re taking it one step further: We’re ready to shake up the PR industry and establish getpress even more firmly as the PR trailblazer our target audience needs. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and excited about what’s next—looking damn good in our new outfit!
